Jen Pourreza, a proud mom of two incredible and artistically creative teenage daughters, is also a devoted pet parent to a black pit/lab mix, playfully named after one of her favorite artists. She finds great joy in nurturing her freshwater utopia, a diverse tank filled with various fish species and live plants, with her ultimate goal being to build a self-sustaining ecosystem.

Since April 2021, Jen has been writing film reviews for DC's renowned film critic Travis Hopson and his fantastic team at Punch Drunk Critics. Recently, she participated in her first Press event with PDC at this year's AwesomeCon in Washington D.C., enjoying engaging panel discussions and room events, with her highlight being able to capture numerous pictures of outstanding cosplayers—an incredible experience. Jen eagerly anticipates covering more screenings and future opportunities for reviews and other exciting projects planned by PDC. For approximately 25 years, she has been a dedicated volunteer for Washington and Montgomery County schools in Maryland, offering support to teachers, and coaches, and assisting in the classroom, as well as chaperoning field trips and events. As her oldest daughter entered high school, Jen took on the leadership role of Concessions Manager for the Seneca Valley HS  'All Sports & Clubs Booster Club'. She had the pleasure of overseeing the organization and management of event days while also contributing to multiple fundraisers and volunteer recruitment.

Heading into her second year of volunteering with the Seneca Valley HS Athletic Department, Jen runs the scoreboard for select home games and highly enjoys Press access to take photographs for sporting events. The Screaming Eagles Scoreboard welcomes sponsors, who not only gain exposure at school events but more importantly, help support SV student-athletes to continue thriving.

Passionately running MoCo Community, her supportive Twitter page, Jen shares pictures she's taken at MCPS events and valuable resources to benefit the county and community. Her goal is to foster unity, hope, and positivity, keeping kids and neighborhoods engaged and safe by bringing everyone together in Montgomery County. Through her blog and various social media outlets, Jen connects with people, showcasing eclectic individuals and groups, to sharing resources, including the Arts & Entertainment aspects of her community and wherever she goes.
